Senior Electrical Engineer – Leeds
The role is within a leading built‑environment consultancy with over 1,500 employees across the UK.
About the Role
You will lead the design and delivery of electrical building services across a wide range of projects, from large‑scale developments to smaller, technically complex schemes.
Projects
* Education (primary and secondary schools, £15 m+)
* Commercial offices (£30–40 m developments)
* Healthcare facilities, including hospitals and specialist centres
* Hotels, logistics, and mixed‑use developments
Key Responsibilities
* Lead electrical design from concept through to completion
* Manage and coordinate internal and external project teams
* Produce and review detailed calculations, specifications and drawings
* Act as a key client contact and lead project meetings
* Collaborate with architects, structural engineers and contractors
* Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and health & safety requirements
* Mentor and support junior engineers and graduates
* Contribute to sustainable design, focusing on energy efficiency and carbon reduction

* Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy
* Strong project leadership and client‑facing experience
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills
* A proactive and solutions‑focused approach
