We are recruiting Trainee Youth Workers to join our team to work in residential settings. We are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals.
The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to service users with complex needs within a residential setting, aiming to create an environment that caters to a person’s intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will work with individuals who have been placed into the care system for various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, we require individuals with confidence, patience, and the necessary skill set to work successfully with these individuals and positively impact their lives.
In this role, you will be part of a team supporting young people throughout the day with basic tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, education, and shopping.
Please note that you will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully complete one of our induction programs before any placements are offered.

Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Build strong professional relationships with service users and other staff members.
2. Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for service users to live in and for staff to work in.
3. Keep up to date with all communication and information systems.
4. Attend and actively participate in meetings as appropriate.
5. Support service users in managing their behavior using approved skills.
6. Promote equality by acknowledging individual differences.
7. Protect service users from any form of abuse from staff, visitors, or other service users.
8. Write accurate reports for reviews and maintain written records for monitoring purposes.
9. Attend all required training and be prepared to achieve qualifications relevant to the role.
10. Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern.
11. Ensure you stay updated with all procedures and policy changes.
12. Take responsible care for your health and safety and that of others.
13. Undertake any additional duties relevant to the position as required.
