INTERNAL VACANCY
Overview
Are you a creative, strategic communicator who thrives in a high-impact environment? We’re looking for an experienced communications and engagement manager to lead the delivery of engaging, innovative campaigns that support Adult Social Care priorities and strengthen trust with residents, partners and our workforce.
Responsibilities
You’ll drive a comprehensive communications and engagement plan aligned to key service improvement priorities. You’ll develop compelling narratives, deliver targeted campaigns, and ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across all channels – reaching both digitally connected and harder-to-engage audiences.
You’ll manage complex and often sensitive issues with confidence and political awareness.
You’ll bring creativity, sound judgement and strong relationship-building skills, alongside experience of developing and evaluating communications campaigns to deadline. A good understanding of audience insight, channel strategy and stakeholder engagement is essential.
This is a high-profile role where your expertise will directly influence the council’s work to deliver these vital services for our residents, and to deliver sustainable long-term service improvements and savings.
If you’re passionate about impactful communication and making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
This post is suitable as a job share opportunity.
