Travis Talent is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company based in Sheffield, who are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their growing commercial team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured yet supportive environment, where quality, accuracy and collaboration are valued. The successful candidate will be based in the Sheffield office, with some flexibility available around working hours.
The Role: As an Estimator, youll play a key part in supporting the Commercial Manager and wider team on a variety of construction projects. Youll take responsibility for preparing tenders, bills of quantities and cost reports, helping ensure projects are accurately costed and commercially viable.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Assisting with the preparation of Bills of Quantities, Specifications and Schedules of Rates.
Compiling tenders and quotations for works.
Supporting the administration of contracts during the construction period.
Preparing and updating cost databases and financial reports.
Assisting with valuations, claims and variations.
Carrying out site visits and supporting project delivery as required.
Contributing to meetings, documentation and project records.
What Were Looking For: Previous experience in a similar estimating role within the construction industry.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
Proficiency in standard estimating tools and MS Office applications.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Whats On Offer: Salary between £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience.
