We are seeking an experienced and motivated Careers and Work Experience Leader to take strategic responsibility for the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of our school’s careers education, advice, and guidance programme.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the school’s careers programme, ensuring it is embedded, stable, and meets statutory requirements.
2. Plan, implement, and quality assure careers education across all year groups.
3. Organise and oversee the work experience programme for KS3 and KS4.
4. Coordinate contributions from careers teachers, subject teachers, tutors, and SENCO.
5. Commission and manage external careers guidance services and liaise with employers, training providers, and other partners.
6. Monitor and evaluate the impact of careers provision, using feedback and destination data to drive continuous improvement.
7. Ensure compliance with national frameworks and best practice standards.

10. Ability to build effective networks with external partners and internal stakeholders.
11. Confidence to lead colleagues and influence whole-school careers strategy.
12. Knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks and careers education frameworks.
Desirable
13. Previous experience in careers or a related role.
14. Understanding of work experience coordination and employer engagement.
