Post Title
Laundry Assistant (part-time).

Department/Location
Kit, the Canalside Training Centre.

Reports to
Kit Manager.

Purpose of the Role
To support the Kit team in ensuring that players’ kit worn on match days is washed in a timely manner, ready for them to wear for the next fixtures. This is a crucial role in ensuring players always look clean and presentable at the start of each competitive fixture.

Functional Links
Internal: Kit Team.
Training Centre Team.
Players.
All staff and managers throughout the organisation.

External:Players and staff from other Clubs.
Visitors to the Canalside Training Centre.

Key Performance Indicators

•All kits are washed to a high standard of cleanliness, folded, and organised in a timely manner.

•Safe use of laundry equipment and adherence to Health and Safety legislation.

Role Specific Responsibilities

The post holder will be required to:

·Work as a member of the Kit team to wash players’ kits, removing any stains using the appropriate products and following established procedures.

·Sort dirty kits prior to washing.

·Fold the laundered kits as per established procedures.

·Liaise with the Kit Manager regarding supplies of laundry products, if these need to be replenished.

·Inform the Kit Manager if any garments are damaged and in need of repair or replacement.

·Operate the industrial washing machine in accordance with the associated instructions (full training will be given).

This job description is not intended to be exhaustive, and the post holder will also be required to undertake any other duties as required by the Kit Manager and/or any other Senior Leader.

•Consistently demonstrate high standards of behaviour and appearance and encourage the same from others.

•Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

•Respect others and behave in an inclusive and non-discriminatory manner, taking account of all protected characteristics, as specified in the Equality Act 2010.
