Overview
We are looking for a Specialty Doctor to join the dynamic Obstetrics and Gynaecology team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust to support a 2‑tier out‑of‑hours second‑on‑call rota. Bradford Royal Infirmary is a busy obstetric unit with approximately 5,500 deliveries a year. The post‑holder will work a 1‑in‑16 full shift covering Obstetrics and acute Gynaecology. Daytime work includes outpatient specialist clinics and theatre. The post gives wide experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology but is not recognised for training. There are opportunities in Level 2 obstetric scanning, maternal medicine, urogynaecology, outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy, infertility and teaching.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess MBChB, MRCOG and GMC registration. Previous registrar‑grade ST5+ level experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK (including Delivery Suite) is essential. Please see the job description and person specification for details.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust serves a female population of approximately 250,000 and there are around 5,400 births per year in the unit. Approximately 50% of our women are from an ethnic background, mainly from Pakistan and India. The Trust is a teaching centre for the University of Leeds School of Medicine and the department has a good reputation for providing high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education and training. Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to these teaching programmes. There is also a strong emphasis on clinical research and a high calibre research group within the unit.
