About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Buffets Department in Skegness! Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in running our bustling kitchen and leading a talented team of chefs. This is your chance to shine, especially when stepping up in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will be key as you monitor and enhance our service standards. With your strong leadership skills, you’ll support and grow your team through daily briefings, manage stock control, and ensure our food presentation is nothing short of spectacular.
Financial performance is crucial in this role, and you’ll be responsible for achieving food cost budgets through effective menu planning and adherence to cooking standards. You’ll also uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll implement training schedules and performance development plans, inspiring your team to create memorable experiences for our guests. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll lead a team dedicated to serving our half-board dining guests!
Key Responsibilities
We’re seeking individuals with experience in a similar role, especially in high-volume environments. Our buffet department caters to up to 3,000 guests per service, so thriving in a fast-paced setting is essential. Here’s what we’re looking for:

You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to consistently deliver high standards in a busy kitchen environment. You’ll also manage margins, control costs, and oversee all health, safety, and hygiene aspects.

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours.
Shift times: 6 AM - 12 PM.
Please note: This role does not come with onsite accommodation.
Working Conditions
We are looking for team members who can add that extra sparkle to our guests' holidays by keeping our resort clean, tidy, and pristine. If you’re ready to go the extra mile for our team and our guests, we’d love to welcome you!
We are looking for candidates who:
* Can clean our main venues and toilets, using electrical and mechanical cleaning equipment (full training provided).
* Are comfortable handling cleaning chemicals (full training provided).
* Can assist with external road cleaning, including emptying waste and recycling bins.
* Are able to move furniture for various activities within venues.
* Can clean and disinfect toilets and changing rooms.
Normal working hours:
Evening shift: 5 PM - 2 AM. Please note that due to lone working and the hours required for the role, applicants must be over 18 to apply. Start and finish times may vary depending on the break type.
