Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as a worldwide leader in this field. We are actively looking for a Chartered Electrical Engineer to join our South East England or Spain offices. As part of the Electrical Group, the Electrical Engineer prepares multiple or complex plans, designs and plan production for general electrical engineering on a wide variety of projects which may include lighting, power, and grounding plans, one-line diagrams, panel and cable schedules, and different project specifications.

Duties and responsibilities
* Completes multiple or complex electrical designs to support firm-wide projects by working with Project Managers (any discipline) and electrical teammates
* Provides multiple or complex design calculations, design drawings, and project specifications for the following but not limited to:
* Medium/low voltage power distribution systems
* Grounding systems
* Communications systems
* Control Systems
* Electrical equipment design (including switchboards and switchgear)
* Electrical calculations, selective coordination and arc flash studies
* Prepares detailed large contract documents, studies and cost estimates
* Submittal reviews and construction observations for electrical work on projects
* Assist in companywide Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
* Electrical license
* 6+ years of related experience in:
* Medium/low voltage power distribution systems
* Grounding systems
* Communications systems
* Electrical equipment design (including switchboards and switchgear)
* Selective coordination and arc flash studies
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit is required
* All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
