We are recruiting for aSenior Innovation Manager to join us at the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) — a core delivery partner for Sizewell C, one of the UK’s most ambitious low-carbon infrastructure programmes.
Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station, supplying clean electricity to around 6 million homes for at least 60 years. As part of the CWA, this is your chance to be part of something genuinely transformative — not just in terms of energy, but in how we deliver complex projects.
In this senior role, you’ll sit within our Business Improvement & Innovation Centre of Excellence, where you’ll lead the development and delivery of high-impact innovation initiatives. From introducing cutting-edge technologies to scaling digital solutions and embedding a culture of experimentation, you’ll help shape how we work — today and for the future.
Key responsibilities include:
* Driving our innovation strategy and managing a portfolio of innovation projects
* Leading cross-functional innovation workshops, sprints and pilot programmes
* Identifying and implementing smart replication opportunities for Sizewell C
* Tracking ROI and KPIs to demonstrate real-world impact
* Partnering with startups, academia and tech providers to stay ahead of the curve
* Coaching teams across the Alliance in Design Thinking, Lean, Agile and more
* Creating an inclusive, forward-thinking culture where new ideas thrive
What you’ll bring:
* A background in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure or Project Management
* Extensive experience in innovation or transformation, ideally on major programmes
* A track record of delivering results in complex, highly regulated environments
* Strong influencing and coaching skills, from site teams to senior stakeholders
* Digital and data fluency, with curiosity about emerging tech
* Ideally, professional certification in Innovation or Change Management
You’ll be primarily based in Suffolk, with some travel to London — working in an environment that blends engineering excellence with creative thinking to help build a cleaner, more resilient energy future.
