Elevate Flexible Legal Resourcing is seeking a detail-oriented Privacy Specialist for a 6-month assignment. This opportunity is ideal for a privacy professional with strong experience in data protection compliance, vendor risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Position: Privacy Specialist
Contract: 6 months (Full-Time)
Location: (Hybrid in London OR Remote flexibility)
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements:
* Strong understanding of data protection regulations (GDPR and similar frameworks).
* Experience conducting DPIAs and vendor risk assessments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review backlog of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), follow up with stakeholders, attend calls, and finalise documents for DPO sign-off.
* Determine controller/processor status during vendor onboarding based on procurement intake forms.
* Initiate and manage vendor privacy risk assessments, including follow-ups and approvals.
* Upload identified risks into the risk register.
* Respond to ad hoc privacy queries via internal communication channels.
* Contribute to projects such as overhauling the data breach handling process.
