About the Role Join us as a Maintenance Officer and put your practical skills to meaningful use across our North West services. You’ll help keep our supported accommodation safe, clean and welcoming for vulnerable young people and adults, taking on a varied mix of minor repairs, decorating, cleaning, garden maintenance and property turnaround tasks across Oldham, Manchester, Stockport, Salford, Rochdale and Warrington. With each service requesting work as needed, you’ll manage your own schedule, respond quickly to urgent jobs and ensure all spaces are maintained to a high standard. We’re looking for someone experienced, organised and proactive—confident in carrying out basic maintenance, handling equipment, and working independently. You’ll bring strong problem‑solving skills, a clean driving licence, an understanding of safeguarding, and a commitment to health and safety and inclusive practice. In this role, you will: • Complete minor repairs, decorating, painting and basic maintenance tasks across multiple sites • Carry out cleaning, deep cleaning and garden/grounds maintenance • Prepare void properties for re‑let, including inspections and turnaround tasks • Maintain accurate records of work completed and escalate repairs beyond remit • Ensure property security, health and safety checks and hazard reporting • Arrange access and liaise with contractors, landlords and internal teams • Follow safeguarding, data protection and organisational procedures About You You will bring your practical maintenance skills to our team and help keep our accommodation safe, clean and welcoming for vulnerable young people and adults. You’ll manage repairs, decorating, cleaning and grounds work across multiple sites, working independently, reacting quickly to urgent tasks and maintaining high standards throughout. You will be someone that is proactive, reliable and safety‑minded, with safeguarding experience, strong communication skills, a clean driving licence and a commitment to inclusion.
