A market-leading Technology client of ours is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join their team based in Whiteley. In the role, you will be responsible for installing, integrating, and commissioning the system/ solutions and getting the system(s) operational across the UK.
Daily duties include:
1. Communicating with customers about all technical issues
2. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve problems and identify areas of improvement
3. Planning, creating & coordinating data/information to implement the technical solution(s)
4. Troubleshooting - organising measures in connection with technical issues to remedy system errors and properly document the agreed resolution
5. Collaborate with Solution Architects and other key technical stakeholders for decisions on implementation of complex technical solutions & system optimisation
6. Inspecting and accepting products from sub-suppliers and partners prior to implementation (this may involve travelling to the Austrian headquarters)
7. Create & review the system(s) technical documentation and interfaces
8. Collaboration with Competence centres (Austria/Canada) and relevant internal stakeholders.
Experience required for the role:
9. Network and IT infrastructure in a safety-critical environment is highly desirable
10. Ideally, some system administration experience of a mix windows / Linux IT system
11. Communication systems experience desirable
12. Electrical / Telecommunication know-how
13. Project delivery experience
14. Project support experience desirable
