What you’ll be responsible for
As an Electrical bias maintenance technician, you will be required to maintain, repair, and install equipment as part of the main MEI teams, working individually or as part of a team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Fault-finding and rectifying problems with electrical and mechanical systems and ancillary equipment
* Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to ensure asset performance
* Reading, understanding, and working from electrical drawings
* Participating in training and knowledge sessions on wastewater treatment processes
* Participating in risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and health and safety issues
* Identifying problematic plant and faults, and finding solutions to restore equipment to working order
* Identifying spares and materials requirements using preferred suppliers
* Completing job cards and timesheets for workload and performance monitoring
* Providing onsite support for DCWW capital and operational teams

* Suppliers and contractors
* NRW/EA Regulators and stakeholders
About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Fully qualified electrician
* Compliance with 17th Edition IEE regulations
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Experience in planning and scheduling work processes
* Ability to develop positive working relationships and be a credible team member
* Responsibility-taking, decision-making, proactive work approach
* Solution-focused problem solving
* Critical thinking skills
* Teamwork skills
* Effective communication and influencing abilities
Good to know
* Standby rota participation required
* Full UK Driving Licence required
* Company vehicle provided
