Role Description
An exciting opportunity has become available within the Collateral Operations Unit. The main function of the unit is to mitigate exposure to counterparty risk on OTC derivative trades. As part of this team, you will monitor daily margin for customers across various products (Rates, Commodity, Structured Credit, Equity, and Foreign Exchange).
Responsibilities
* Interact with a variety of groups within the bank (Back Office/Middle Office Operations, Corporate Treasury/Global Securities Operations, Cash/Wire Transfer, Marketers/Traders, Credit, Capital Markets Documentation).
* Determine collateral allocation and delivery of securities.
* Send and receive cash collateral via wire transfer.
* Support traders in executing and marketing derivatives with financial institutions and corporate customers.
* Monitor credit exposure on derivatives.
* Negotiate collateral agreements and maintain documentation.
* Investigate margin discrepancies, update procedure manuals, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
* Basic understanding of financial markets and derivative products.
* Basic understanding of financial markets documentation (ISDA, IFEMA, PSA).
* College degree or related experience.
* Detail‑oriented with the ability to recognize unusual flows or triggers for collateral in agreements and new trade structures.
Additional Skills
* Open communication flow, especially regarding new issues or problems, between team members.
* Basic Excel skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines, handle high‑pressure situations, and juggle multiple tasks.
