Position: Senior / Supervising Social Worker
Salary: Up to £36,131.66 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: Home-based, supporting foster parents across the Isle of Wight, Southampton, and Portsmouth

Your Role
As a Senior / Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in:
* Empowering foster parents to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in care.
* Monitoring the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
* Providing guidance on the fostering task, competencies, and FCA policies.
* Conducting regular supervision sessions with allocated foster parents.
* Collaborating with foster families to identify their needs and contribute to team meetings.
* Ensuring compliance with all necessary documentation for children and foster parents.
* Attending meetings and providing reports for commissioning teams.
* Encouraging participation of children and young people in agency development.
* Participating in an out-of-hours support service and day duty system on a rota basis.
* Conducting occasional initial home visits and Form F assessments.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who has:
* A Social Work qualification
* Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent
* Strong report writing skills
* A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
* The willingness and ability to travel extensively (including occasional overnight stays)
* Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
* A full UK driving licence
