This dynamic and strategic role at a leading global organisation offers an exciting opportunity for a talented procurement professional to make a meaningful impact. As the Building and Construction UK Buyer, you will be responsible for executing the procurement strategy, managing complex projects, and developing a best-in-class supplier network to support the company's ambitious growth plans.
In this position, the Building and Construction UK Buyer will be accountable for:
- Implementing the procurement strategy and leading cross-functional project teams to deliver national and international procurement initiatives.
- Negotiating, establishing, and implementing framework contracts to secure the company's long-term supply needs.
- Conducting the procurement process in compliance with the company's policies and procedures, ensuring full customer satisfaction.
- Driving initiatives to optimise costs, standardise requirements, and improve supplier performance.
- Providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support the company's procurement and savings programs.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience in strategic procurement, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and supplier relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance management, ensuring the delivery of measurable results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
This is a contract position lasting until a minimum of Feb 2027. It offers both PAYE and Umbrella rates (Inside IR35)
