Your newpany

Working for a local housing provider whose head office is based in Redruth.

The role can be remote or hybrid depending on location.
Pay is £ per hour.
The role can be worked full time or part time either 2-3 days per week for 2-3 months or 4-5 days per week for 6-8 weeks due to amount of work required currently.


Your new role

Purpose: To provide high-levelernance support to the Head ofernance, Risk and Assurance and the wider team during a period of disruption and transition, ensuring continuity and delivery of keyernance priorities.
1. Support continued implementation of actions under theernance Action Plan, including: Policy Reviews and Consolidation Specific focus areas: Probity and its relationship to Declarations of Interest, Code of Conduct, and Gifts & Hospitality.Progress work on Gestures of Goodwill policy, tightening implementation and monitoring arrangements.Continue work on the process and documentation for fit and proper persons checks, ensuringpliance andpleteness.Review and restate the tracker document for NED and ICM terms of office, to ensurepliance with both thepany’s articles and the NHF Code ofernance.
2. Provide high-quality minute-taking for one or two Boardmittee meetings in January and February, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organisational standards.

3. Review the organisation’spliance with Charitymission requirement and related Charity law/regulation, including the positioning of Almshouses.
4. Review currenternance filing structure and make rmendations for improvements to enhance accessibility,pliance, and efficiency.

5. Undertake otherernance-related projects as agreed, based on capacity and relevant skills/experience.


Skills and Experience Required
6. Strong understanding of corporateernance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
7. Proven experience in policy development and drafting high-quality Boardmittee papers.
8. Minute-taking expertise with ability to produce clear, concise, and professional records.
9. Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
10. Ability to work independently and managepeting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
