Summarized Purpose:
This role supports the development of innovative drug delivery approaches. Analytical work and feedback will guide future work, providing an opportunity for someone with scientific curiosity, keen observation, and analytical skills to impact future medicine development.
The Scientist will perform analysis and sample preparation procedures to measure small molecules and biotherapeutics using instrumentation such as KF, ROI, GC, ICP-OES, HPLC, and LC-MS. The role is mainly independent, involving setting up instrumentation, collecting data, interpreting results, and ensuring analyses meet GMP and non-GMP criteria.
This is a full-time onsite position supporting the client’s analytical needs.
Essential Functions:
* Perform routine sample preparations and analyses to measure small molecules and biotherapeutics.
* Support testing of samples from GMP and non-GMP studies.
* Accurately perform work within quality, time, and safety standards.
* Set up and support routine operation and maintenance of analytical instruments.
* Communicate results and document findings appropriately.
* Resolve analytical issues independently or with assistance.
* Provide data supporting compliance with protocols, SOPs, GMP, and GLP.
* Review data for accuracy and compliance before submission.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field, with 2+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination.
* Alternatively, a Master's degree with 1-2 years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* At least 1 year of experience in a regulated laboratory.
* Knowledge of techniques like HPLC, KF, GC, ICP; training will be provided.
* Ability to work with multiple testing platforms and tasks simultaneously.
* Experience with Empower software and analytical troubleshooting is beneficial.
* Strong collaborative, problem-solving, technical writing, and communication skills.
