Role and responsibilities
To deliver a range of subjects to mainly full time 16-19 year old students and apprentices, studying Motor Vehicle qualifications at Levels 1, 2 & 3. Subjects being sought include; Spark Ignition & Compression Ignition Engines; Health and Safety Practices in Vehicle Maintenance; Steering & Suspension Systems; Components & Maintenance; Routine Vehicle Maintenance Processes & Procedures; Vehicle Braking Systems Components & Maintenance; Diagnosis and Rectification of Vehicle Electrical Auxiliary Systems; Faults and Diagnosis and Rectification of Vehicle Transmission Systems Faults. The ability to also deliver Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology and Vehicle Air Conditioning Systems would be advantageous.
As part of the role, you will also be expected to carry out the associated organisational / administrative processes including preparation of work, marking and assessment, course tutorship, student welfare and counselling and to support and participate fully in the ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College's key mission and objectives.
Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (minimum L3) and have relevant work / industrial experience within the vehicle repair industry. Those without teaching experience, but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply.
