School Youth Worker (full time, temporary) Wigan £444 - £475 per week (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications) Start date: February 2026 The School and Role We are seeking a dedicated School Youth Worker to join a SEMH primary school in Wigan, supporting children of primary age who present with social, emotional and mental health needs. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference to children from disadvantaged or vulnerable backgrounds at an early stage in their education. The School Youth Worker will work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support both in the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping pupils to regulate emotions, develop positive relationships and engage with learning. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and helping them to build the skills needed for long-term educational success.
