Role
The post holder will work across a range of social care studies, under the supervision of the project leads and other researchers. They will develop skills in research methods, including literature searches, secondary analysis, recruitment of participants into studies and a range of data collection methods. They will also assist in preparing plain English summaries, project outputs including publications and presentations, and creating resources for older people, carers and people supporting them. The post holder will be an excellent communicator and sensitive to the needs of older people in care settings, including those living with dementia.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications needed:
Applicants should:
1. Be educated to degree level in a subject related to health, social care or a social science-related area
2. Have knowledge of older people’s care and knowledge of people living with dementia
3. Have a basic knowledge of research techniques and methods
4. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Condition of employment
