Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Keane Premier Group
For the Financial Year 30 November 2025
* Organisation Structure and Supply Chains
Keane Premier Group (KPG) is a family-run organisation comprising Keane Premier Healthcare and Keane Premier Support Services. We operate multiple care homes and community support services across South and North Lanarkshire, employing a wide range of staff including carers, nurses, support workers, administrators, and domestic staff.
Our supply chains relate primarily to the procurement of goods and services to support care provision including medical equipment, catering, cleaning supplies, utilities, property services, and training providers.
* Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking
We are committed to ethical conduct and upholding the rights and dignity of every individual. Our key policies that contribute to preventing modern slavery include:
* Whistleblowing Policy: enabling employees to report concerns in confidence
* Recruitment Policy: ensuring safe, transparent, and fair hiring practices
* Safeguarding and Adult Support & Protection Policies: protecting vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation
* Code of Conduct: setting clear expectations of behaviour for all staff and suppliers
* Supplier Expectations: requiring suppliers to confirm adherence to legal and ethical standards
To mitigate the risk of modern slavery, Keane Premier Group:
* Conducts right-to-work checks on all employees
* Works with reputable suppliers and contractors with clear ethical standards
* Includes anti-slavery provisions where possible in supplier contracts
* Carries out background checks and references on all staff
* Monitors agency staff providers to ensure compliance with UK employment law
* Risk Assessment and Management
We assess risk based on:
* The location and type of services provided
* The nature of supply chains (e.g. cleaning, maintenance, catering, recruitment agencies)
* Employment types (agency vs. direct hire)
Identified higher-risk areas include outsourced services, temporary staffing agencies, and certain procurement categories. These are subject to more rigorous review and supplier scrutiny.
* Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
No reports have been received from employees, the public, or law enforcement agencies to indicate that modern slavery practices have been identified.
* Training on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking:
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking and the confidence to take action, our modern slavery policy forms part of the induction process for all new colleagues. Regular updates to training are also provided if required. Our colleagues are encouraged to identify and report any potential concerns around slavery or human trafficking, and we have strong measures in place for the protection of whistle blowers.
Director Approval
This statement is made in accordance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and has been approved by the Directors of Keane Premier Group. It will be reviewed and updated annually.
