The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* These learners are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions that meet learners’ needs and support their educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online assignments
* Must promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies
Employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term engagements
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers the work you do
* This is not a self-employed position
