We are currently seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our experienced pharmacy team at HMP Norwich, working under the direction of the Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vital healthcare service within a secure setting, supporting both patients and staff in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. This role is a part-time role, working 18.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to provide an efficient and comprehensive pharmaceutical service within the prison. Participate in all aspects of dispensing, including labelling, stock rotation, secure storage, and managing dispensary queries. Ensure the delivery of a legal, safe, and high-quality pharmaceutical service in line with National and Local policies, with a strong emphasis on maintaining security at all times. Support the implementation of the medicines management strategy, including service improvement projects across Norfolk Prisons. Assist in promoting cost-effective prescribing and support the medicines optimisation strategy, contributing to the effective management of medication budgets. Deliver services in accordance with HCRG Care Group Medicines Policy and uphold the highest standards of care and confidentiality. Please see job description attached for for further details. Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a pharmacy environment is desirable, though not essential.
