Job Description: Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Manchester.
Multiple positions are available, and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We aim to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We seek SEN / SEND tutors passionate about supporting disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Manchester.
Our mission at Targeted Provision is to elevate educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK, with support from our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers interested in 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, using creative, flexible, trauma-informed approaches to improve engagement and educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role: Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs referred by local authorities and schools
Supporting their educational and social-emotional development through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities: Planning sessions tailored to individual needs
Delivering holistic, engaging sessions to support educational and social-emotional growth
Completing reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
Minimum 2 years teaching experience
Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar needs
Knowledge of safeguarding policies
Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
Two professional references
Right to work in the UK

SEN / SEND Tutor employment status: Engagement as a Worker for short-term assignments
Paid via PAYE, through a contract for service
No set hours or expenses covered
Insurance covers your work; this is not a self-employed position
