Business Analyst Location: Northampton Duration: Until 31/12/2026 Working Pattern: 2-3 days on-site per week Day Rate: £340 (Inside IR35) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Northampton on a long-term engagement. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analysing complex business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and delivering clear, actionable solutions. This role requires excellent stakeholder engagement, a strong grasp of financial crime regulations, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, Agile-driven environment. Key Accountabilities Business Analysis Interpret and translate complex business requirements, challenges, and opportunities into practical and actionable solutions. Ensure consistency and quality across project deliverables, maintaining alignment with business objectives. Lead and facilitate gap analysis workshops, identifying process inefficiencies and recommending effective solutions for improvement. Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business. Proactively identify, communicate, and escalate issues to project leadership in a timely and constructive manner. Work cross-functionally to align stakeholder interests, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts effectively. Process and Methodology Apply and uphold agreed project methodologies and standards, including documentation, evidence management, and collaboration tools. Demonstrate a critical and analytical mindset, constructively challenging assumptions to optimise efficiency and outcomes. Drive process improvements through data-driven analysis, effective use of tools, and actionable insights. Regulatory Compliance Develop and maintain a traceability matrix to ensure regulatory requirements are consistently aligned with project outputs. Remain up to date with evolving regulatory frameworks, industry best practices, and compliance standards. Collaborate with compliance teams to interpret regulations and translate them into operational business requirements. Person Specification Skills and Experience Demonstrable experience in analysing complex business information and converting it into structured, actionable requirements and solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to facilitate workshops, deliver presentations, and produce high-quality documentation. Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, particularly within financial services environments. Solid understanding of financial crime regulations and controls, with experience of assessing their operational impact. Proficiency with business analysis tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Jira, and Confluence. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all organisational levels. Flexibility to travel, when required, to support project deliverables and stakeholder engagement. Adaptability to shifting priorities, with the ability to deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.
