Bid Manager / Bid Writer (Print Industry)

We’re working with a growing and highly regarded organisation within the print and creative services sector to recruit an experienced Bid Manager / Bid Writer. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware bid professional to take ownership of the full tender lifecycle and play a key role in driving business growth.
This position is fully remote, with occasional travel to sites and client locations.
As Bid Manager / Writer, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality, compelling proposals while managing the end-to-end bid process, from identifying opportunities through to submission. You’ll also contribute to CRM and lead generation initiatives and provide support to the wider commercial function when required.
We’re looking for someone with a strong track record of winning bids within marketing, print, or creative design services.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and evaluate tender opportunities via procurement portals and frameworks
* Develop bid strategies, including messaging, structure, and win themes
* Write and edit persuasive, tailored bid responses aligned to evaluation criteria
* Manage the full bid lifecycle, including timelines, task allocation, and reviews
* Ensure compliance with all legal, commercial, and client-specific requirements
* Collaborate with internal teams across sales, finance, and operations
* Maintain and enhance bid content libraries, case studies, and templates
* Manage 2–3 live bids per month
* Support bid/no-bid decisions and continuous process improvements
* Lead CRM and lead generation initiatives (experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, or Apollo beneficial)
* Provide ad hoc support to account management teams during peak periods
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years of experience of working in bid/contract role within the print industry
* Strong bid writing, editing, and storytelling skills
* Experience within marketing, print, or creative services procurement
* Proven ability to manage bid timelines and review processes
* Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
* Experience in client-facing situations, including tender presentations/interviews
* Proficient in MS Office and online submission portals
Essential experience includes:
* Managing and delivering end-to-end procurement bids
* Leading bid strategy and coordinating cross-functional input
* Producing winning proposals in a relevant sector
* Maintaining bid libraries and governance documentation
