Overview
An established and growing manufacturing business based in Leicestershire is looking to appoint a hands-on Production Manager to lead daily operations across its production and fulfilment functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operations professional to step into a leadership role and make a real impact on production efficiency, quality, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.
* Manage, support, and develop a multi-skilled team across production and fulfilment areas.
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
* Collaborate with planning, warehouse, customer service, and other departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
* Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and compliance with internal procedures.
* Monitor and report on KPIs relating to output, efficiency, and quality.
* Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
* Ensure effective resource planning and manage workloads in line with customer demand.
* Troubleshoot production issues and drive timely resolutions.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Production Manager, Operations Supervisor, or similar leadership role within a manufacturing or fulfilment environment.
* Strong organisational and leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Experience working with KPIs, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
* A good understanding of health & safety, quality control, and operational efficiency.
