Role Summary

Digital Workspace Engineer – advanced technical support and key escalation point for digital workplace technologies. The role drives a shift‑left approach, ensuring tasks are automated or well‑documented for the fastest, most efficient resolution.


Key Responsibilities

* Implement, monitor and operate endpoint hardware, software, services and SaaS tools.
* Integrate digital workplace technologies with identity, security, vulnerability management, IT service and asset management, remote access, backup, directory services and other adjacent systems.
* Ensure stability and security through effective endpoint management, timely patching, and monitoring of device and identity anomalies.
* Support security operations processes and log, analyse, triage and prioritise incidents, service requests, problems and changes via the ITSM tool.
* Provide third‑line escalation support, troubleshooting and delivery of modern technologies.
* Document and publish knowledge‑base articles; keep team documentation, processes and procedures up‑to‑date.
* Develop and implement automation for repetitive tasks (PowerShell, Power Automate, other scripting tools).
* Lead or support projects, including imaging, packaging, deployment and lifecycle management of hardware and software.
* Engage with business lines to identify risks, propose solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Provide on‑call and out‑of‑hours support for critical projects and incidents.

Experience & Knowledge

* Standard IT operations frameworks (ITIL, ITSM platforms).
* Scripting tools and languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
* Digital workplace tool management – tools, techniques, monitoring and integration.
* Configuration management, identity and access management, AD, desktop virtualization, collaboration platforms, and cloud‑based services.
* Endpoint management and security tools, Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot.
* Maturity in continuous engineering/agile methods to manage frequent changes.
* Knowledge of digital experience, network performance monitoring tools, desktop and application virtualization, and endpoint security.


Qualifications

* Certifications in Azure technologies and Microsoft 365 administration (e.g., AZ‑900, AZ‑104, MS‑500, MS‑102).
* Security and compliance credentials (SC‑900, AZ‑600, ITIL v4 Foundation).
* Other relevant certifications such as PL‑300, MD‑102, SC‑300, or equivalent.
