We are recruiting for a cleaner Supervisor working 15 hours per week all year round. The Cleaning supervisor would be responsible for a wide range of duties and responsibilities, which include ensuring that the school is cleaned every day to the required standard/specification and cleaners have all the required equipment and products to perform their jobs. The supervisor would be responsible in the operational management of the cleaning team, ensuring cleaners are cleaning all areas of the school to the required standard, as well as ensuring areas are covered when sickness occurs. The supervisor will from time to time need to step in an assist the cleaners as and where needed. Working closely with the site manager and Facilities and operations manager to ensure the smooth operation of the cleaning team within the school. Working safely using correct warning signs, protective clothing and safety equipment and being mindful of hazards to other staff and students. Compliance with the Health and Safety practices of the Trust/School. You will need to be; · To be physically fit · To be reliable, punctual and have excellent attendance · Have the ability to communicate effectively · Possess a flexible and adaptable approach to working patterns and job task · Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure others are doing the same. · Team player, personable, emotionally intelligent with a sense of humour Experience: Previous cleaning experience would be essential. Previous experience of a supervisory role would be highly desirable. Previous experience of working in a school or education setting would be desirable but not essential.
