As a Residential Childrens Worker, you will support children and young people in a residential setting, helping them feel safe, understood and valued. You will be part of a supportive team creating a nurturing and therapeutic environment where strong, consistent relationships are at the heart of everyday care.
Whether you are new to residential childcare or already qualified and experienced, you will be supported to do your best work and develop your career.
What youll be doing
Supporting children and young people with day to day care, routines and emotional wellbeing Building positive, trusting relationships using a trauma informed approach Promoting safety, inclusion and positive behaviour Supporting care plans, reviews and positive activities Working across a rota including evenings, weekends and sleepovers
About you
You are calm, patient and compassionate, with the ability to support children through both settled and challenging moments. You value teamwork, consistency and boundaries, and are motivated to make a positive difference in childrens lives. You may already be registered with the PVG Scheme and the SSSC and hold a qualification such as an HNC in Social Care or an SVQ Level 3. If you are new to the sector, we will support you to register and work towards the required qualification. Experience in care, education or youth work is helpful but not essential. A full manual driving licence is required.
