Job Description
3. Procurement of specialist products using AstraZeneca's COUPA platform
4. Ensuring compliance of activities performed in adherence with defined schedules and quality within a specified area. Act and report on deviations
5. Act as a key point of contact for all research staff to deal with queries pertaining to all stages of the procurement process
6. Reviewing of Supplier Health reports; working with the Director of Compliance and Welfare
7. Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements
8. Creation, maintenance and updating relevant documentation in support of service delivery, compliance and training
9. Report on KPIs, metrics, SLAs and weekly tasks as required and outlined in standard work
10. Liaise with AZ procurement and external suppliers to leverage best price
11. Procurement of specialist products using AZ's COUPA platform
12. Broad understanding of products and keeping up to date with external benchmarks
13. Regular reviews with customers to ensure the service is optimal, accurate and efficient
14. Resolve or escalate complex queries from stakeholders or vendors relating to the procurement process
15. Foster an efficient, friendly and supportive team atmosphere
16. To carry out all support activities in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines, GLS & local agreements
17. Proactively identify and support operational efficiencies by implementing process improvements
18. Support the purchasing of capital equipment and consumables for new and existing facilities across sites in the UK and US
19. Coordinating technical activities and communicating with customers, Avantor colleagues and third parties to ensure a professional level of service is provided
20. Work with colleagues within and outside the team in a flexible and collaborative manner
21. Actively seek and report back on any cost savings/ cost avoidances that could be found during the procurement process
22. Adheres to Health and Safety regulations and follows Avantor Work Instructions
23. Works proactively with manager to ensure all training activities are completed and signed off in a timely manner

24. High level attention to detail, self-motivated and dependable
25. Enhanced Technical Requirements: sensitivity to and understanding of In Vivo bioscience activities is essential
26. Knowledge and understanding of operating and reporting within a regulated environment
27. Notification of imports to DEFRA/border agency
28. Experience working with SHE policies and procedures
29. Proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively
30. Outstanding communication skills on all levels
31. Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
32. An understanding of how the team interacts internally and externally within the organisation and how they contribute to the objectives of the business
33. To be flexible in order to deliver the service required to our customers
34. Monitor/forecast lead times to ensure availability is maintained on site(s), including maintaining critical communication between suppliers and end users
35. End to end oversight, tracking order(s) through to delivery/receipt required
36. Good problem-solving capability and confidence to react promptly to deliver the best service possible

38. Good time-management skills, ability to be flexible and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis

44. Experience working with procurement systems or in a procurement role previously is essential
