Our Catford Green nursery are looking for Nursery Assistants and Nursery Nurses to work as bank staff covering shifts working on a zero hours contract.

The ideal candidate must have:
* A full & relevant Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years
* Experience working in a nursery
* An interest in working with young children (from 0-5 years)
* Team player
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to use initiative
* A passion for the Early Years
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Certificate and employment references *

Key Responsibilities
Support the daily running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5.
Work as part of the team to deliver high-quality care and early education.
Assist in planning and setting up age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Supervise and engage with children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods.
Help maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised nursery environment.
Follow safeguarding procedures and health and safety policies at all times.
Build positive, professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Observe and record children’s progress, sharing information with the team to support individual development.
Support children with personal care routines as needed (e.g. nappy changing, toileting, handwashing).
Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the nursery’s values.
