Job Summary
The Specialist Tours Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of tour operations, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for our clients. This role involves managing tour logistics, liaising with clients and vendors, and leading a team of tour guides. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for travel and a deep understanding of the tourism industry, coupled with exceptional organisational skills.
Duties
* Develop and implement innovative tour programmes that meet client needs and preferences.
* Coordinate all logistical elements of tours, including transportation, accommodation, and activities.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, local guides, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the tourism sector.
* Lead training sessions for tour guides to enhance their knowledge and skills.
* Monitor customer feedback to continuously improve tour offerings and client satisfaction.
* Prepare detailed itineraries and promotional materials for tours.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all tours.
Experience
* Proven experience in tour management or a related field within the tourism industry is essential.
* Strong knowledge of travel destinations, cultural insights, and local attractions is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing teams or projects.
* Proficiency in using booking systems and software relevant to the tourism sector is advantageous.
