Examinations Officer – Secondary School – Hackney – ASAP Start
A welcoming and well-organised secondary school in Hackney is seeking an experienced Examinations Officer to join their administration team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who has previous experience working within a school environment and managing examinations processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth running of all internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance with exam board regulations and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full examinations cycle, including entries, timetables, and results.
Liaise with exam boards, teaching staff, and senior leadership regarding exam arrangements and deadlines.
Organise and coordinate exam invigilators, ensuring exams run in line with JCQ regulations.
Prepare exam rooms, materials, and seating plans.
Ensure accurate entry of exam data using school MIS systems (such as SIMS or Arbor).
Handle exam results processing and distribute results to students.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding and data protection policies.
Requirements
Previous experience working as an Examinations Officer or within school exams administration.
Strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and exam board procedures.
Experience using SIMS, Arbor, or other school MIS systems.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
