To carry out p orterage duties such as the loading and unloading of vehicles and moving equipment where necessary. To undertake security duties including locking and unlocking buildings and carry out building checks as directed by Customer Services staff. To prepare and clear down meeting rooms and remain in attendance when necessary. To help staff and members of the public as required. About You Great practical skills and the ability to use your initiative are essential for this role. We are looking for someone who has knowledge of the Bolton area and a clean driving licence. You will be required to drive a Luton Box van with a tail lift and be able to lift and carry boxes of books and move museum artifacts. The post involves some long shifts, and long periods of standing. We are looking for someone who is physically fit, with the ability to work unsupervised. In addition, you will have excellent customer service skills, be polite and welcoming and be able to communicate easily with visitors to the Central Library and Museum building.
