About The Role
This role plays a key part in the Data Services & Exams Team, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional customer experience. The primary responsibility is to manage and maintain student-related data within The Sheffield College's systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across areas such as student records, attendance, courses, exam entries, and achievements. Working within a dedicated faculty cluster, the role involves accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining crucial data, including course files, attendance registers, student enrolment, exam registrations, achievements, and fees. A focus on data integrity, high quality, and consistency is essential to support both the college and its students effectively.
This is a fixed term role until the 10th of April 2027.
Main Responsibilities
* To be responsible for the accurate and efficient input and updating of all aspects of student attendance and examination data, through the processing of new enrolments, change of student status data, exam registrations and achievements, to agreed quality and productivity standards
* To develop good relationships with a defined faculty cluster area/team and provide timely, comprehensive and accurate responses and resolve queries on all aspects of Data Service functions
* Assist in achieving pre-agreed performance targets and service level agreements for the service
* To support the face-to-face enrolment process, fee information and attendance data on to The Sheffield College group systems ensuring compliance with relevant external funding body rules
* To be responsible for various tasks relating to registers including creation, retrieval and monitoring paper registers. Responsible for the annual process of attaching students to registers and its continued service level agreement
* To support Data Officers with data verification checks to ensure data accuracy, working to clear errors and warnings to an agreed schedule
* To support internal data audits as per the department schedule
* Maintain an up to date and working knowledge of the technical requirements required within the Data Service Department, e.g. ILR specifications, learner eligibility policy, funding and audit policies.
* To engage in the review and implementation of new transactional processes to improve service users' experience
* To work collaboratively with service users to gather feedback to develop an understanding of their needs
