Are you an experienced financial professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving commercial success? We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Financial Controller to join our team. Based at our office in Folkestone, Kent with hybrid working. This role is pivotal in providing financial insights and strategic support to our commercial and executive teams, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the consumer-packaged goods industry. Key Responsibilities Financial Insight & Support: Provide strategic financial guidance and insightful analysis to commercial and executive teams, enhancing decision-making processes. Performance Analysis: Deliver timely and meaningful analysis of financial KPIs to support business understanding and growth. Commercial Oversight: Manage financial aspects of commercial relationships and opportunities within the UK domestic division, covering marketing, trade, distributor, and new product activities. Planning & Forecasting: Lead the production of financial plans and forecasts, collaborating with key stakeholders to align with Group objectives. Monthly Financial Reporting: Analyse monthly financial results and produce comprehensive reporting packs, including management accounts and executive presentations. Annual Plan Coordination: Own and coordinate the annual planning process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group deadlines. Support for UK Operations: Partner with sales and marketing teams to assess and challenge sales performance, promotional accruals, and marketing effectiveness. Cost Management: Ensure accurate forecasting and allocation of SG&A and manufacturing overhead costs. Intercompany Financial Management: Oversee intercompany P&L, ensuring profitability is understood and communicated effectively. New Product Development (NPD): Coordinate financial assessments for NPD and store introductions, providing robust analysis and recommendations. Team Leadership: Manage the Commercial Accountant, setting objectives and driving performance. Continuous Improvement: Lead finance-related IT and continuous improvement projects, fostering business enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. You will have experience implementing new operating systems and performance measurement processes, along with a proven ability to build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders. A high level of critical thinking, logical analysis, and confident decision-making is essential, along with an extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and the broader market. You should hold an accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, and preferably a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. With over 10 years of business experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry and at least 5 years of direct supervisory experience, you will have demonstrated their capability in managing teams and driving transformation. Working hours are 37 per week: Monday – Thursday 9-5pm and Friday 9-4:30pm.
