Role Overview
Hesley Group is looking for a dedicated Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will work closely with Behaviour Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and clinical assistants, all operating within a large Therapeutic Services Team. You will also collaborate with our Participation Team to ensure people we support are involved at every level. Your key contribution will be to provide a person‑centred positive behaviour support service, helping people develop communication skills to increase independence and a lifestyle of their choosing, including safe eating and drinking experiences.
You will deliver the service to individuals within the group, ensuring each person's communication needs are met within a Positive Behavioural Support framework. The role is challenging and rewarding, offering opportunities to have a real impact on lives of the people we support.
We require a Speech and Language Therapy professional qualification and current HCPC registration. Knowledge of learning disability and/or autism, associated mental health difficulties, and dysphagia is desirable but may depend on the specific level of the role. You should be able to provide active support and professional advice to colleagues and other stakeholders, and demonstrate resilience, motivation and a commitment to evolving service delivery.
We welcome applications from all candidates; however, some roles may require candidates to have unrestricted rights to work in the UK, and these roles may be prioritised.
