Working weeks per year: 38 weeks - Term time only

Contract type: Fixed term until 31/08/2026

Pay Grade: 5 (Starting Salary £20,664)

About the Role:

We are looking for a committed and compassionate Level 3 (Minimum) qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting pupils with a high level of need, including those with Autism and communication difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who require additional support to thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs, including Autism.

•Deliver a high standard of care and support for pupils with communication difficulties.

•Work under the direction of the SENDCO to implement individualised support strategies.

•Support pupils with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

•Liaise with teaching staff to help pupils access the curriculum, adapting materials and approaches to suit individual learning needs.

•Promote inclusion and encourage independence in learning and social development.

Essential Requirements:

•Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

•Experience working with children with Autism and/or additional learning needs.

•A caring, patient, and flexible approach to supporting children.

•Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

•A recognised qualification or specialism in SEND.

•Experience working with EHCPs and implementing personalised learning plans.

•Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with sensory and communication needs.
