Associate Drainage Engineer

Calibre Search is working with a global leader in Design Engineering on various projects across the UK. Their clients include HS2, Network Rail, National Highways, and Local Authorities, with designs ranging from strategy and feasibility to detailed design and construction support.
To support their clients in developing sustainable drainage solutions that protect communities and infrastructure from flooding, they are seeking an experienced drainage leader at the Associate level to join their Leeds City Centre office. This role will be crucial in developing the team’s expertise and expanding their over 50 engineers.
The national Water Engineering team is a sector leader, fostering a proactive, responsible, and collaborative work environment. They are committed to an inclusive workplace, and the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions to high-profile challenges.
You will lead the delivery of civil engineering projects across sectors such as highway, rail, infrastructure, and site development, managing projects from concept to completion while maintaining high technical standards, timeliness, and commercial success.
You should have a proven track record in delivering drainage services for major transport and infrastructure projects in the UK, managing client relationships, attending progress meetings, and leading drainage engineering teams, supporting their technical development and resourcing needs.
As a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, you will have extensive experience in designing sustainable drainage solutions, with a thorough understanding of drainage design principles and infrastructure management.
You should be proficient in Civil 3D and Causeway Flow software, with knowledge of relevant technical standards, UK Building Regulations, Design Standards, Codes of Practice, and Health & Safety regulations.
This role is based in Leeds, with a flexible hybrid working policy allowing remote work and collaboration from their UK offices.
