About The Role

As an inclusive, forward‑thinking business, we take pride in our approach to engineering across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team, based at our Caistor site in Lincolnshire.
Purpose of the Role
As a Multi‑Skilled Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the consistent smooth running of factory machinery, including planned maintenance and reactive repairs, as well as continually looking for ways to improve future processes.
Responsibilities
* Performing reactive breakdown repairs
* Carrying out planned preventive maintenance
* Recording all documentation accurately and on time
* Improving equipment reliability and stamping out recurring faults
* Ensuring audit‑ready records are kept
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience as a multi‑disciplined engineer
* An electrical bias with sound mechanical knowledge
* Engineering apprenticeship or qualifications at level 3 or equivalent
* Previous experience within the food or FMCG industry would be beneficial
Working Hours
A 4‑week rota including one Saturday in 4.
Week 1: Monday – Thursday 05:30 – 13:30 + Friday 05:30 – 12:30
Week 2: Monday – Thursday 13:00 – 21:00 + Friday 13:00 – 20:00
Week 3: Monday – Thursday 05:30 – 13:30 + Friday 05:30 – 12:30
Week 4: Monday – Thursday 13:00 – 21:00, Friday 11:00 – 18:00 + Saturday 06:00 – 18:00
