A highly regarded independent preparatory school in Surrey is seeking an experienced and discreet Executive PA to support the Headteacher in the smooth and professional running of the school. This is a senior-level administrative position within a well-established prep school known for its academic strength, strong pastoral ethos and close-knit community. The Headteacher plays a visible and active role in daily school life, and this position will be central to ensuring their time and strategic priorities are managed effectively. The Role As Executive PA, you will act as the primary point of contact for the Headteacher, managing their diary, correspondence and key communications with professionalism and diplomacy. You will be trusted to handle confidential information and coordinate high-level school events and governance processes. Your responsibilities will include: • Managing the Headteacher’s diary, appointments and travel arrangements • Drafting and proofreading correspondence, reports and communications • Acting as Clerk to Governors or supporting governance meetings where required • Preparing documentation for board meetings and maintaining accurate records • Coordinating whole-school events, open days and parent meetings • Handling sensitive parental or staff enquiries with discretion • Supporting strategic projects and school development initiatives You will be expected to anticipate needs, prioritise effectively and ensure that the Headteacher’s office operates efficiently at all times.
