Role Overview: As the Plant Fitter / Heavy Plant Mechanic / Workshop Fitter you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of heavy plant machinery, including ADTs, excavators, screeners, telehandlers, and dozers. Working primarily in the workshop, you’ll handle both mechanical and electrical repairs to keep the machinery safe, reliable, and ready for action. Key Responsibilities of the Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Hydraulic Engineer / Plant Fleet Engineer / Heavy Plant Technician / Mechanical Electrical Engineer / Agricultural Engineer / Diesel Mechanic / Maintenance Fitter / Workshop Fitter: * Carry out scheduled service, maintenance, and repairs on heavy plant machinery, including crushers, cone crushers and screeners. * Diagnose and repair issues within diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. * Use diagnostic tools to effectively troubleshoot machinery issues. * Keep accurate records of repairs and services conducted. * Follow the company’s health and safety guidelines in all tasks. Requirements of the Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Hydraulic Engineer / Plant Fleet Engineer / Heavy Plant Technician / Mechanical Electrical Engineer / Agricultural Engineer / Diesel Mechanic / Maintenance Fitter / Workshop Fitter: * Proven experience working with construction, quarrying, or recycling machinery is Ideal.
