Are you an Employee Relations expert who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment? We are looking for a specialist who can guide managers through challenging situations, spot trends, and make a genuine impact. This fixed term contract (till 26 Oct) offers a chance to join our Leeds office and work closely with a team of 6 ER consultants.

Reporting into the ER Team Leader, you will support line managers across the business on all aspects of employee relations – from conduct and capability to grievances, absence management and more. With 70–90 cases on your books at any time, you’ll juggle priorities, manage risk and provide pragmatic, legally sound advice while maintaining a human touch.


What you will be doing

* Providing first line assistance to line managers on ER issues
* Managing high‑volume caseloads and keeping accurate records
* Resolving complex issues in a practical and commercial manner
* Identifying higher‑risk cases and flagging them to your manager promptly
* Using performance‑management metrics to spot trends and present data
* Communicating clearly and concisely
* Working collaboratively and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement


Who we are looking for

* Strong knowledge of Employment Law and a wide range of Employee Relations experience
* Case‑management experience in Conduct and Capability, Long‑Term Sick and Grievances
* Proficiency with IT and comfort working across different HR systems
* Understanding of Retail environments and experience advising Retail managers; a CIPD qualification is beneficial but not essential
