We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and motivated applicants for this full-time Senior BMS, band 7 post. In this post we can offer you a rewarding, flexible and supportive role, providing a wide scope of haemostasis and thrombosis diagnostic services, using up to date and innovative technology.
You will be joining our team of experienced and dedicated Biomedical Scientists, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with our medical team in the Kent Haemophilia and Thrombosis Comprehensive Care Centre, supporting the operational delivery, training of staff of all grades, informing method development, developing clinical guidelines and potentially taking part in clinical research activities.
The successful candidate should have a high level of analytical and technical skill, including statistical analysis. They should have considerable and up to date knowledge of current practices and advances in Haematology, with specific experience in Haemostasis and Thrombosis desirable.

The Senior BMS role will be a conduit between the scientific and clinical sides of the service, undertaking laboratory and clinical duty sessions, providing clinical liaison as needed. The post holder will provide technical, managerial and leadership expertise. They will be a key contributor to quality management and improvement, the training of all the departments scientists, and the verification and implementation of new methodologies.
