Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and organised person to join our Intensive Travel Training team, part of the wider Community Connecting team. The focus is on bespoke, sustainable travel training to and from a young person’s place of education, completed in real time. This role involves working with young people with disabilities, parents and support networks, liaising with schools, colleges, Wiltshire Council’s passenger transport team, SEND transport team and other professionals to ensure seamless support is provided.
Responsibilities
This will involve working with young people with disabilities, parents, and support networks; liaising with schools, colleges and transport teams to coordinate transportation arrangements; ensuring that travel training is delivered safely and effectively in real time; and maintaining comprehensive records of each journey to support individual plans.
Qualifications
We look for an individual who is enthusiastic, adaptable and organised, with experience working with people with learning disabilities or autism. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults is essential.
