You're reading this ad, so you're ready to outthink. To take your skills, knowledge and experience beyond what you thought possible. And TMP268 is the place to do it.
TMP268 is a creatively strategic marketing agency, home to the Armed Forces Recruitment Service. Protecting the nation begins here. And what does that mean for you? It means new challenges to rise to. Being encouraged and empowered to outthink at every opportunity. It means creating industry-first solutions, harnessing emerging tech, and realising AI's potential to create human connection. It means feeling valued for everything you bring. And work you can be proud to call your own, whatever your role.
The role
As Content Designer, you'll have the opportunity to establish and define content design principles for the Armed Forces Recruitment (AFR) programme. You'll create a consistent, inclusive and accessible communication experience across digital and non-digital journeys. Your scalable content system will be seen throughout the careers hub, interview process and touchpoints beyond.
You'll be seen as a subject matter expert for content design principles and governance. Positioned in a multidisciplinary team with expertise in UX, service design, research and product. Beyond the team, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across TMP, MOD and Serco partners.
In setting content design principles, you'll define the standards for: tone of voice, readability and structure, accessibility, content hierarchy and clarity. You will create a content governance model outlining how principles are applied, maintained, and evolved. Alongside this, you'll develop reusable content patterns, templates and guidelines, which can be picked up and understood by others.
We'd like you to define the best use of AI for our work. You'll use it to audit content at scale, generate or rewrite content aligned to defined principles, and establish prompts for AI-assisted content creation.
Join us in this foundational role: set the direction, frameworks, and guide to how our content design moves forward.
Who we're looking for
We're seeking a strategic thinker with relevant experience in content design, UX writing, or content strategy. You've defined content design principles, standards, or systems, and embedded content governance frameworks. It's key that you're comfortable working on complex, multi-channel or service-based environments. Plus, you can conduct content audits and structure large-scale content ecosystems.
To do this role well, you'll bring a deep understanding of GOV.UK content design standards, accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive language practices. It's important that you can clearly communicate this and other complex information, simplifying it into easy-to-follow guidance. You're a superb communicator, collaborator, and influencer.
