Role Description
DesignTomorrow is seeking a full-time Senior Urban Designer for an on-site role based in London. The Senior Urban Designer will lead and contribute to the design and planning of urban spaces, generate innovative design concepts, and oversee the preparation of master plans and urban frameworks. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring that projects meet the highest standards in design quality, feasibility, and sustainability. The role demands strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in urban design and master planning, with a strong understanding of spatial and environmental considerations.
* Expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, or similar).
* Strong skills in research, site analysis, and the ability to integrate findings into actionable design solutions.
* Demonstrated ability to lead projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage with stakeholders effectively.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and visual storytelling skills to articulate ideas clearly to clients and colleagues.
* Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
* Experience working on international and diverse projects, with a focus on sustainability and innovative solutions.
